Meta Tags Generator (title, description, canonical)

Generate the HTML block of a page's meta tags (title, description, canonical) with a live check of the recommended SEO length.

Example:
0 characters — empty
0 characters — empty

How it works

Handy right before publishing a page: fill in the title, meta description and canonical URL, and the tool shows the length of each field live with a color indication (green if the length is in the range recommended by search engines, orange if it's acceptable, red if it's too short or too long) and generates the corresponding HTML block, ready to paste into the <head> of your page.

Why these specific lengths (50-60 and 150-160 characters)?

These are guidelines, not strict rules: beyond about 60 characters for a title or 160 characters for a description, Google generally truncates the display in search results with an ellipsis. Staying within these ranges maximizes the chances that your title and description display in full.

What happens if my title or description contains quotes or HTML symbols?

The tool automatically escapes special characters (&, <, >, ") in the generated HTML, so the content of your tags doesn't break the page structure once pasted.

Processing is entirely local, done in your browser via WebAssembly: the content of your tags never leaves your computer.
