Neon palette generator

Generate a palette of highly saturated fluorescent colors, harmoniously spread around the color wheel, for a gaming, cyberpunk or retro-futuristic look. Generated 100% locally in your browser.

How it works

A neon color is characterized by very high saturation (close to the maximum) and medium-to-high lightness, which produces a bright, vibrant glow on screen. The tool spaces several hues evenly around the color wheel with a slight random variation, then locks saturation and lightness into the neon range to guarantee a consistent fluorescent look across the whole palette.

Why do neon colors look different when printed?

Screens emit light directly (additive RGB mode), whereas printing uses inks that absorb light (subtractive CMYK mode) and cannot reproduce the same luminous intensity as a lit pixel. Neon palettes are therefore best suited to digital media (websites, interfaces, social media).

How can I use this palette without straining the eyes?

Reserve the brightest colors for accents (buttons, borders, icons) rather than large surfaces, and pair them with a dark background: it's this contrast between darkness and saturated color that creates the "glowing" effect sought in cyberpunk or gaming designs.
