Validate Open Graph tags

Paste an HTML snippet (typically the contents of the <head>) to spot the og:* tags present and make sure none of the essential tags are missing.

Example:

How it works

Open Graph tags control how a page looks when it is shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, or in link previews in messaging apps like Slack or WhatsApp. Without them, these platforms show a generic or incomplete preview. This tool analyzes an HTML snippet and flags the four tags that are generally essential: og:title, og:type, og:image and og:url.

Why doesn't my link shared on Facebook show an image?

It's almost always because the og:image tag is missing or points to an invalid URL. Check here that the tag is present, then test the image URL directly in a browser.

Should I also add Twitter Card tags?

Twitter (X) can fall back on Open Graph tags, but it is recommended to also add dedicated twitter:card, twitter:title and twitter:image tags for finer control over the preview on that network.

100% local processing: your HTML snippet is never sent to a server, and the whole analysis happens in your browser.
