Color palette extractor from an image
Upload an image to extract its dominant colors.
How it works
Before building a style guide, a moodboard, or a web mockup from an inspiration photo or a client's logo, you often need to identify its dominant colors objectively rather than by eye. This tool analyzes every pixel of the uploaded image and groups similar colors together to keep only the most representative shades, displayed as clickable swatches.
How many colors can I extract?
The "Number of colors" field accepts a value between 1 and 20: the higher this number, the more fine-grained shades the palette captures from the original image, while a low value (3 to 6) gives a synthetic palette suited to a simple style guide.
Are the extracted colors in a format directly usable in CSS?
Yes, each color is provided in hexadecimal format (for example #3a7bd5), directly usable as-is in a CSS property, a design tokens file, or a tool like Figma, with no further conversion needed.
