Pattern-based password generator

Generate a password that follows a custom pattern: A for a random uppercase letter, a for a lowercase letter, 9 for a digit, ! for a symbol; any other character is kept as is.

Example:

How it works

Some systems require a specific password format (for example an extended PIN like "AA99-9999" or a software license with a fixed structure). Instead of generating a completely random password, this pattern lets you keep certain characters fixed (such as a separator dash) while randomizing the others according to their type: uppercase letter, lowercase letter, digit, or symbol.

What happens if my pattern contains an unrecognized character, such as "_" or "#"?

Any character other than A, a, 9 or ! is copied as is into the result. This is useful for inserting fixed separators (dashes, dots) or a constant prefix/suffix in the generated password.

Which symbols can "!" generate?

The ! character in the pattern is replaced by a random symbol chosen from !@#$%^&*-_+=, a deliberately limited set so the result stays compatible with most systems that restrict which special characters are accepted.

100% local processing: the password is generated entirely in your browser via WebAssembly.
