Attach a file to a PDF

Embed a supporting file (image, spreadsheet, archive, another PDF) directly inside a PDF document so it travels with it as a single file. 100% local processing in your browser — your files never leave your device.

How it works

The PDF format lets you embed any file as an internal "attachment", which can then be retrieved from the attachments panel of most PDF readers (paperclip icon or dedicated tab). It's handy for delivering a source document (an editable invoice, raw data) together with its final PDF version, as a single file to send.

Is the attached file compressed or modified?

No, it is embedded in the PDF as is, byte for byte. The size of the final PDF therefore increases by roughly the size of the attached file.

How can my recipient retrieve the attached file?

In most PDF readers (Adobe Acrobat Reader, a browser preview with a side panel), a paperclip icon or an "Attachments" tab lists the embedded files and lets you save each one to disk.

100% local processing: the two files are combined entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
