Crop a PDF (remove margins)
Remove a uniform margin on all four sides of every page of your PDF.
How it works
The tool reduces the visible area of each page (the PDF's /MediaBox) by removing the indicated margin on the left, right, top, and bottom sides. The content of the page (text, images, drawings) is neither moved nor resized: it's simply the display window that shrinks, which visually crops the document by removing excessive white margins — useful before paper-saving printing or for more comfortable reading on a phone screen.
Does cropping really delete the content located in the margin?
No. The original content of the PDF remains technically present in the file; only the page area displayed by PDF readers is reduced. If text or an image overflowed into the removed margin, that content will simply be hidden on display and printing, not erased from the file.
What happens if I choose too large a margin?
The requested margin is automatically limited so that at least one point of width and height per page always remains visible, to avoid ending up with an empty or invalid page. If the result looks too cropped, simply reduce the value and run the operation again.
As with all our PDF tools, this cropping is calculated 100% locally in your browser thanks to WebAssembly: your document never leaves your device.
