View PDF document information
Upload a PDF to view its metadata (title, author, creating software, dates) without modifying the file. 100% local processing in your browser (WebAssembly) — your file never leaves your device.
How it works
Before sharing or archiving a PDF, it's sometimes useful to check who created it, with which software, or when, without opening a full PDF reader. This tool reads the document's information dictionary directly and displays only the fields that are actually present.
Why are some fields missing?
Not every PDF fills in every field (the subject or author are often left empty): only the fields actually filled in the document are displayed.
Can I edit this information?
This tool is read-only. Use our PDF metadata editor if you want to change a document's title, author or subject.
100% local processing: reading happens entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — your PDF is never sent to a server.
