Analyze the size of each PDF page

Before printing or sending a large PDF, find out which pages weigh the most (often pages with high-resolution images) thanks to an estimate of each page's approximate size.

How it works

To estimate each page's size, the tool extracts every page individually into a standalone mini-PDF and measures the resulting file's size in bytes. This lets it rank pages from heaviest (often a photo or a high-resolution scan) to lightest (often a plain text page), so you know right away where to focus your compression efforts before printing or sending.

Why "estimated" and not exact?

A PDF often shares resources between several pages (an embedded font, a logo repeated in the header). When each page is extracted on its own, these shared resources get counted in every page that uses them, which can slightly overestimate each page's real size taken separately compared with its exact share of the original file. It is still a very good relative indicator for spotting the heaviest pages.

Why a 300-page limit?

The analysis processes each page one by one entirely in your browser: beyond 300 pages, the processing time would become too long to be comfortable. For a very large document, first extract a page range with our PDF page extraction tool, then analyze that excerpt.

100% local processing in your browser (WebAssembly) — your PDF is never sent to a server or stored anywhere other than on your device.
