How it works
The tool composes a gift voucher in A5 landscape format with a decorative gold frame, a title, the issuer's name, the amount or service offered displayed large in the center, then an optional recipient, message and expiry date, and finally a unique code at the bottom of the page. The layout is calculated directly with the pdf-lib library, without going through a server.
Can the gift voucher serve as an official proof of purchase?
The generated PDF is a presentation piece, not a certified accounting document. If you need proof of purchase for your bookkeeping, also keep a regular invoice or sales receipt; the gift voucher remains the visual item given to the recipient.
How can I make sure the voucher code is unique?
Each click on "Regenerate" draws a new random code in the BC-XXXX-XXXX format from an alphabet that excludes ambiguous characters (0, O, 1, I). For business use with several vouchers, record each generated code in your own register (spreadsheet, cash register) so you can verify its authenticity when it is redeemed.
Can I customize the color or format of the voucher?
This version offers a gold template in A5 landscape format designed for printing or sending by email. The text, amount, message and date adapt automatically to what you enter, including the amount's font size, which shrinks automatically if the text is long.
No data leaves your device: the PDF is generated entirely in your browser, and the gift voucher is never sent to or stored on a server.
