Merge PDFs with a generated table of contents

Combine several PDF files into a single document preceded by a table of contents page listing each file and its starting page, handy for distributing a complete package (annual report, document collection) with a ready-made table of contents.

How it works

The files are first merged in the order shown, then each file's page count is used to calculate its starting page in the final document. One or more table of contents pages are generated listing each file with that page number, then inserted at the beginning of the merged document.

Is the table of contents clickable like PDF bookmarks?

No, it's a text page listing the file names and their page numbers, not internal hyperlinks within the document. It's a visual table of contents, to be read like a printed one.

What happens if I only merge one file?

The tool also works with a single file: it simply adds a one-entry table of contents page in front of the document, which can be useful for adding a cover page showing the title and total page count.

Merging and table of contents generation happen entirely in your browser (WebAssembly for the merge, pdf-lib for the layout) — your documents never leave your device.
