Remove links from a PDF

Upload a PDF and download a version with no clickable hyperlinks.

Example:

How it works

A document generated from a word processor or a web page sometimes contains unwanted links (legal notices, outdated addresses, tracking links). This tool goes through every page, finds link-type annotations, and removes them without touching the document's text, images, or layout.

Is the visible text of a link (the written URL) also erased?

No, only the clickable annotation is removed. If the address is spelled out in the document's text, it remains visible but is no longer clickable.

Are other annotations (comments, highlights) kept?

Yes, only link-type annotations are removed: comments, highlights, and other annotations remain untouched.

100% local processing: removal happens entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — your PDF is never sent to a server.
