Percentage calculator
Calculate a percentage of a number, work out what percentage one number represents of another, or calculate a percentage change between two values.
How it works
Percentage calculations come up often in everyday life: how much is a 20% discount on a €150 item, what percentage of a grade does a score represent, or by how much has revenue increased (or decreased) year over year. This tool covers these three most common calculation cases in a single interface, without having to remember the formula.
How do I calculate a discount or an increase?
Use the "A % of B" mode: for example, to find the amount of a 20% discount on a €150 item, enter A = 20 and B = 150, the result (30) is the discount amount, to be subtracted from the original price.
How do I interpret the "% change" mode result?
A positive result indicates an increase from A to B (for example +25% if sales went from 100 to 125), while a negative result indicates a decrease (for example -20% if they went from 100 to 80).
