Convert PNG to JPG
Convert your PNGs to JPG, a much lighter and universally accepted format. Since JPG doesn't support transparency, any transparent pixel in your PNG will be filled with white in the result.
What happens to my PNG's transparency?
The JPG format has no transparency channel, so every transparent or semi-transparent area of your PNG is automatically filled with white during conversion. If your image absolutely must keep a transparent background, keep it as a PNG or convert it to WebP instead, which also supports transparency.
Why convert a PNG to JPG instead of keeping the PNG?
JPG compresses photos and color-rich images far more efficiently, producing much smaller files at similar visual quality. It's ideal for photos meant for the web, email or sharing, when transparency isn't needed.
Can I choose a background color other than white?
This tool always applies a white background, the standard and most predictable behavior for most uses. For a custom background color, add it to your image manually before converting (for example with an image editor).
No file upload: the PNG to JPG conversion runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly, without passing through a server.
