Poker hand evaluator

Enter a hand of 5, 6 or 7 cards to instantly determine its best possible combination (pair, flush, full house, straight flush...), useful for checking a Texas Hold'em hand or learning the rules of poker. No card is sent to a server.

Example:
Ranks: 2-9, 10, J (jack), Q (queen), K (king), A (ace). Suits: ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ (or S H D C).

How it works

In poker, the strength of a hand depends on the best 5-card combination it contains. This tool analyzes the cards you enter (up to 7, as in Texas Hold'em with the community cards) and tests every possible 5-card combination to determine the best one.

In what order are the hands ranked?

From strongest to weakest: royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair, pair, high card. When two hands have the same combination, the card ranks break the tie (not calculated in fine detail here beyond the main rank).

Is the A-2-3-4-5 straight (the "wheel") recognized?

Yes, this special low straight, where the Ace counts as 1 rather than the highest value, is correctly detected as a straight (or a straight flush if the suits match), in line with standard poker rules.

The hand is evaluated entirely in your browser, without being sent to a server.
