Pomodoro timer

Alternate focused work sessions and short breaks using the Pomodoro technique, with a sound signal at each phase change. The timer runs entirely in your browser, with no account or server.

How it works

The Pomodoro technique consists of working in short, intense blocks (traditionally 25 minutes), separated by short breaks, with a longer break after every four sessions so you can truly unplug. This configurable timer applies that principle: set the durations to match your rhythm, click "Start", and let the tool alert you with a sound signal at each phase change.

Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?

Yes, the countdown relies on a JavaScript timer that keeps running as long as the tab stays open, even in the background. Some browsers slightly throttle timers in inactive tabs, which can cause a very small drift, but the sequence of phases stays correct.

Can I adapt the durations to my own way of working?

Absolutely: the work, short break and long break durations, as well as the number of sessions before the long break, are fully customizable before you start the timer. Changing these values while a cycle is running is only possible after pausing or resetting.

The timer runs entirely in your browser: no data about your sessions is saved or sent anywhere.
