Random animal generator
Pick a random animal from a list of more than 50 species, along with an associated habitat — handy for a game, a guessing riddle, or a lesson. The draw happens entirely in your browser, with no calls to a server.
How it works
One click randomly picks an animal from a varied list (mammals, birds, reptiles, insects, marine animals) and pairs it with a representative habitat drawn independently. Useful for running a charades game, fueling a kids' quiz, or simply racking your brain for a drawing theme.
Is the animal list kept up to date?
The current list covers more than 50 common, recognizable species spread across several major groups of the animal kingdom, so you get varied results on each draw rather than a handful of animals that keep coming back.
Can I use it for a "Who am I?" type game?
Yes: one player can draw an animal in secret and then answer the other players' questions, or conversely draw an animal out loud to kick off a round of charades or quick drawing.
The random draw runs locally in your browser, and no information is sent to or kept on a server.
