Random Color Generator
Generate a random color in hexadecimal, RGB, or HSL format — ideal for finding inspiration, testing a palette, or filling a test design.
How it works
The tool draws three random red, green, and blue components, then formats them according to your choice: hexadecimal (used in CSS and design), RGB (values 0-255), or HSL (hue, saturation, lightness), handy for adjusting a color more intuitively.
What is the difference between RGB and HSL?
RGB describes a color by its proportions of red, green, and blue, while HSL describes it by its hue (position on the color wheel), saturation, and lightness — more intuitive for lightening or darkening a color without changing its hue.
What is a random color generator used for?
It's useful for quickly creating test datasets, default avatars, colored tags, or simply for finding inspiration when designing a graphic palette.
Generation happens entirely in your browser via WebAssembly, with no data sent to a server.
