Random color palette generator
Generate harmonious 5-color palettes based on different color theory rules (complementary, analogous, triadic, monochrome...), for a website, a visual identity or an illustration. Everything is calculated in your browser, and nothing is sent to a server.
How it works
Choosing colors that work well together is one of the most time-consuming exercises in design. This tool mathematically calculates hues spread around the color wheel (opposite, adjacent or evenly spaced colors) to instantly generate palettes of five hex codes you can use on a website, in a presentation or in a brand guide.
What is the difference between the harmony types?
The "complementary" palette pairs a hue with its opposite on the color wheel for strong contrast, "analogous" uses neighboring hues for a soft, cohesive look, "triadic" and "square" space the hues at regular intervals for a vivid, balanced set, and "monochrome" varies a single hue across several lightness levels for a sober, unified look.
How do I get the colors into my project?
Click a color to copy its hex code, or use the "Copy all codes" button to grab the whole palette at once, separated by commas, ready to paste into your CSS or design tool.
Your privacy is guaranteed: hues are calculated entirely on your device, and no generated color ever passes through a server.
