Weighted decision wheel

Unlike a classic wheel where every option has the same chance, this decision wheel lets you assign a different weight to each option (an option with weight 3 is three times more likely to come up than one with weight 1). Ideal for a draw that is fair but not necessarily equally likely. The draw happens entirely in your browser.

Example:

OuiNon

Odds: Oui (50%) · Non (50%)

How it works

Each option gets a share of the wheel proportional to its weight: with weights of 1, 2, 1 and 3, for example, the wheel has four slices of different sizes, totaling 7 units. A random number is then drawn between 0 and the total of the weights to pick the winning option, before the wheel animates its spin and stops exactly on that result.

How does this wheel differ from a "classic" equal-odds wheel?

A classic wheel of fortune splits the circle into strictly equal slices, so every option has exactly the same probability. Here, you can deliberately favor certain options (for example, give more weight to a priority task, or reflect real-world probabilities in a simulation) while keeping a genuinely random draw.

What happens if I set a weight to zero?

An option with a weight of 0 is automatically excluded from the draw (it has no chance of coming up and doesn't appear on the wheel), so you can temporarily disable an option without removing it from the list.

The random draw and the animation run entirely in your browser, with no connection to a server.
