How it works
To break out of the "what's for dinner tonight" routine, this tool picks a random dish from a selection of cuisines from around the world (French, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Indian...). Optionally filter by dish type (starter or main course), then draw as many times as you need until inspiration strikes.
Can I use it to plan my meals for the week?
Yes, draw a dish each day to build a varied menu without planning ahead: it's a simple way to bring culinary variety to your meals without writing a list by hand.
Do the suggested dishes require rare ingredients?
The selection favors popular, widely known dishes whose ingredients are easy to find in a supermarket or a general restaurant, although a few (like jerk chicken or injera) call for more specific spices.
The draw happens entirely in your browser from a list built into the page, with no call to an external server.
