Salary raise calculator

Calculate your new salary after a raise expressed as a percentage or an amount, or work out the raise percentage you received if you already know the new salary. Everything is calculated instantly in your browser.

How it works

After an annual review or a salary negotiation, it helps to check what the proposed raise actually amounts to. This tool calculates the new salary from a percentage or an amount, or does the reverse calculation if you already know the new salary and want to find the actual percentage you got.

How can I check whether a raise keeps up with inflation?

Compare the raise percentage calculated here with the annual inflation rate for the period in question. If your raise is 3% while inflation was 4%, your purchasing power has actually dropped slightly despite the nominal increase in salary.

Does the result show net or gross salary?

The calculation stays consistent with the figure you enter: if you enter an annual gross salary, the new salary calculated will also be gross. Make sure your current salary and the raise use the same basis (both gross, or both net) for a meaningful result.

Your pay information is neither sent nor stored: the calculation stays local to your browser.
