sitemap.xml generator

Paste the list of your site's URLs (one per line) to generate a valid sitemap.xml file.

Example:
Each URL must start with http:// or https://.

How it works

A sitemap.xml file lists all the important pages of your site to help search engines discover them and understand the site's structure, in addition to regular link crawling. This is particularly useful for small sites without a CMS that automatically generates this file, or for pages that aren't well linked internally. Simply paste your URLs one per line, and the tool generates the expected XML structure with the <urlset>, <url>, and <loc> tags.

Where should I place the generated file?

Place the sitemap.xml file at the root of your site (for example https://example.com/sitemap.xml), then submit its URL in Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools, and also reference it in your robots.txt via a Sitemap: ... line.

Should I include a last-modified date?

It's optional but recommended: the <lastmod> tag tells search engines when a page was last updated, which can help them prioritize re-crawling recently modified pages. By default, the tool suggests today's date, but you can change it or disable it.
