Sitemap URL extractor

Paste a sitemap's XML or import a file to extract the full list of URLs, filter them by keyword or extension, then export them as text or CSV.

Example:
Or drag and drop a file here, or paste the XML directly below.

How it works

An XML sitemap can contain hundreds or even thousands of URLs, which are hard to scan by eye in the raw file. This tool parses the XML with your browser's native DOMParser API, extracts every <loc> tag (and its last-modified date if present), then lets you filter the list by keyword or file extension before exporting it.

Does the tool handle sitemap indexes (files of sitemaps)?

The tool extracts every <loc> tag present, whether it's a regular sitemap listing pages or an index file listing other sitemaps. In the latter case, the extracted URLs will point to the sitemap files themselves rather than to the final pages; paste each child sitemap separately to extract its contents.

Why can filtering by extension be useful for SEO?

Filtering by extension lets you, for example, quickly isolate all the image or PDF URLs in a sitemap, or conversely check that no technical file URL (.json, .xml) has slipped in by mistake among the HTML pages meant for indexing.

Privacy: the file or pasted text is analyzed entirely in your browser, and nothing is sent to a server.
