How it works
Each social network defines its own recommended dimensions for profile photos, covers, posts or stories, and these sizes change regularly. This guide brings together the most common current values in a searchable, filterable table, complemented by a ratio calculator to place your own images.
Why use a ratio rather than a fixed size in pixels?
Platforms almost always resize the uploaded image to their own display resolution: what really matters to avoid unwanted cropping is that your file's width-to-height ratio matches the expected one, even if the exact resolution in pixels differs slightly.
My dimensions don't match any exact format, what should I do?
The calculator above shows you the three formats in the list whose ratio is closest to yours: crop your image to one of them with one of our cropping tools (for example “Crop to social media formats”) so the platform doesn't do it for you in an unpredictable way.
This guide works entirely in your browser: no data is sent to a server, with or without an image.
