Spelling dictation / quiz generator
Enter your own word list, with an optional example sentence as a hint (one per line, in the format "word;hint sentence"): the tool generates a quiz where you retype each word with the exact spelling.
How it works
Each word you enter becomes a question: the example sentence (if you provided one) is shown as a context hint, then you type the word with the exact spelling. The comparison ignores case and extra spaces, but stays strict about accents and letters.
Is the hint required?
No, you can enter just the word with no semicolon or sentence: in that case no hint is shown and you'll have to retype the word from memory.
Can I use this tool for a dictation of tricky words?
Yes, that's a common use: list your tricky words or your weekly vocabulary list with an example sentence for each, and practice spelling them correctly before a test.
Your word list stays in your browser: it is neither sent to nor stored on a server.
