Squircle app icon generator (iOS style)
Apply the "squircle" mask (rounded superellipse) that characterizes iOS app icons to your square logo or image, with an adjustable curvature level, right in your browser.
How it works
Unlike a simple rounded-corner rectangle, the "squircle" Apple uses for its app icons is a superellipse: the sides stay almost straight and the curve only accelerates near the corners. This tool approximates that shape with adjusted Bézier curves, then crops your square image to that mask.
What's the difference between a regular rounded corner and a squircle?
A regular rounded-corner rectangle has a constant radius of curvature along the whole curve, which creates a fairly sharp transition where it meets the straight side. The squircle smooths that transition gradually, producing a silhouette that feels softer and more organic, typical of iOS icons.
Do I need to provide an image that's already square?
No, if your image isn't square, the tool automatically selects the largest centered square area before applying the squircle mask. For full control over the framing, though, prepare a square image beforehand.
100% local processing: your logo never leaves your browser during generation.
