SRT subtitle editor
Import a file or paste text in SRT format, edit the timecodes and content of each block, add or delete lines of dialogue, then export the final SRT file. No file is sent to a server.
How it works
The SRT file is split into blocks separated by a blank line, each containing a number, a time range (HH:MM:SS,mmm --> HH:MM:SS,mmm) and one or more lines of text. The tool parses these blocks to make them editable, then regenerates a valid SRT file with sequential numbering on export.
What happens if I reorder or delete a block?
Block numbers are automatically recalculated on export, in the order they appear in the list. You don't have to worry about numbering; only the timecodes and text matter.
What timecode format should I use?
The standard SRT format is hours:minutes:seconds, milliseconds, with a comma before the milliseconds (for example 00:01:23,450). A timecode that doesn't follow this format exactly will trigger an error on export, to avoid producing an invalid SRT file.
The file stays on your device: parsing, editing and exporting the SRT are done entirely by your browser, with no network transfer.
