How it works

Many platforms that display customer reviews (marketplaces, forums, product pages) don't natively offer a star-rating component in a plain free-text field. This page provides individual Unicode stars as well as ready-to-use rows ("★★★★☆") to show a rating directly as text.

Can I create my own custom rating, for example 3.5 stars?

Yes: first copy a solid star (★) as many times as needed, then add an outline star (☆) for the missing points. For a half star, there is no universally supported glyph; the most readable convention is to give the rating in numbers next to the stars, for example "★★★☆☆ (3.5/5)".

Do these stars display correctly in an email or a PDF?

In the vast majority of modern email clients and PDF readers, yes, because these are standard, widely supported Unicode characters. On very old systems or with very limited fonts, a rare decorative star may occasionally show up as an empty box; in that case, stick to the classic solid and outline stars (★ and ☆), which have the best support.

This page works entirely on the client side: none of your searches or copies is sent to a server.
