Stopwatch with laps
A stopwatch accurate to the hundredth of a second, with split times (laps) to track a series of efforts or checkpoint times. Works entirely in your browser, with nothing to install.
How it works
Whether it's for a workout, a timed cooking session or a simple duration measurement, this stopwatch starts, pauses and resets in one click. The "Lap" button records a split time without interrupting the count, which is useful for tracking several repetitions or successive stages.
What is the difference between lap time and total time?
The "lap time" is the time elapsed since the previous lap (or since the start for the first lap), while the "total time" is the cumulative time since the stopwatch started. Both are shown side by side for each recorded lap.
Does the stopwatch stay accurate if I switch tabs?
Yes: the stopwatch relies on the browser's high-precision clock (performance.now()), which keeps advancing correctly even when the tab goes to the background. The display may update less often on an inactive tab, but the time measured when you return is still exact.
Timing is done entirely in your browser, and no data is sent to a server.
