Unicode strikethrough text
Add a strikethrough (or underline) effect to your text using a Unicode combining character, usable in messages, bios or comments that don't support rich formatting. 100% local conversion, nothing is sent to a server.
How it works
Handy for showing a crossed-out price in a promotional message, marking a task as done in a plain-text list, or simply styling a word in a conversation. Type your text, choose the style, then copy the result.
How does strikethrough text work technically?
A so-called "combining" Unicode character (U+0336 for strikethrough) is inserted after each letter: it doesn't replace the letter but visually overlays it to draw a horizontal line. That's why this text remains copy-pastable like normal text, unlike an image or HTML formatting.
Does this text display correctly everywhere?
In the vast majority of modern apps (social networks, messaging apps, text editors), the rendering is correct. Some very restrictive input fields may, however, strip or misrender Unicode combining characters, especially on very long texts.
The text you type never leaves your browser: the conversion is entirely local.
