How it works

The tool places a chosen number of points (the complexity) evenly around a circle, randomly moves each one inward or outward depending on the chosen irregularity level, then connects these points with a smoothed curve (a Catmull-Rom spline converted to Bézier) to get a rounded closed outline with no sharp corners.

How do I keep the same shape but change its color or size?

The shape depends only on the number of points and an internal random "seed" value set at generation time: as long as you don't click "Generate a new random shape" or change the complexity, adjusting the color, size or irregularity keeps the same overall outline, just resized or recolored.

Where can I use this kind of blob in a design?

SVG blobs are widely used as the background of a hero section, behind a profile photo or a product to break the rigidity of rectangular shapes, or as an organic cropping mask for an image (by using the blob as a clip-path).

100% local generation: the shape is calculated entirely in your browser, with no data sent to a server.
