Monogram / initials generator
Create a custom monogram from the initials of one or two names, with your choice of background and text color, ready to download as a PNG for a business card or an avatar. Everything is generated locally in your browser.
How it works
Handy for quickly creating a custom avatar, a temporary logo for a project, or a business card with your initials. Enter one or two names, customize the colors and shape, then download the generated image.
How are the initials determined?
The tool simply takes the first letter of each field you fill in and capitalizes it: if you enter a first name and a last name, you get a two-letter monogram (for example "MS" for Mary Smith); if you fill in only one field, the monogram shows a single letter.
Can I use this monogram as a profile picture?
Yes, the generated image is a square 400x400 pixel PNG, a resolution that is sufficient for most social network or messaging avatars. Choose the "None" option for a transparent background if the target service already adds a frame shape around the image.
The names you enter and the generated image stay on your device, and no data is sent to a server.
