Redact personal information (PII)

Automatically detect and redact email addresses, French phone numbers and long sequences of digits (cards, identifiers) in a text, useful before sharing a log excerpt or a support ticket.

Example:

How it works

Before sharing a log excerpt, an email or a support ticket with a colleague or pasting it into an external tool, it's wise to remove the personal information it contains. This tool looks for typical patterns (email addresses, French phone numbers, long numeric sequences that could be card or identifier numbers) and replaces them with explicit labels such as "[EMAIL REDACTED]".

Does the tool detect all types of personal information?

No, it is limited to common patterns that are easily identified by regular expression: emails, French phone numbers and long numeric sequences. Proper names, postal addresses and other sensitive data are not detected automatically and must be checked manually.

Can I trust this redaction for a confidential document?

This tool is a practical aid for everyday use (quick sharing, debugging), but it does not replace a human review for truly sensitive documents or those subject to legal confidentiality obligations.

100% local processing: the text is analyzed entirely in your browser via WebAssembly; it is never sent to a server.
