TikTok cover maker

Import a photo and generate a TikTok video cover in the exact vertical format (1080 x 1920 px), automatically cropped and centered to fill the entire phone screen.

PNG, JPG or WebP — ideally already in portrait format

How it works

TikTok displays videos in full-screen vertical at a 9:16 ratio, which is 1080 x 1920 pixels. A cover image in the wrong format ends up stretched or randomly cropped by the app. This tool scales up and centers your photo so it fills that vertical frame exactly, with no distortion.

Should I avoid placing important elements near the edges?

Yes: in the TikTok app, the interaction icons (like, comment, share) and the caption cover part of the right half and the bottom of the screen. Keep the essential elements of your cover (face, text, logo) centered in the middle third of the image.

Does this cover also work for Instagram Reels?

Yes, the 1080 x 1920 format (9:16 ratio) is also the one used by Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts: you can reuse the same cover generated here on all three platforms without touching it up.

Nothing is sent to a server: the cropping happens entirely locally using the browser's Canvas.
