Timezone converter
Shift a date/time from one timezone to another to schedule a meeting or event between two teams located in different timezones.
How it works
This tool simply adds the hour difference between the source timezone and the destination timezone to the entered date. This is the most common calculation needed day to day: scheduling a video call between a team in Paris (UTC+2 in summer) and a team in New York (UTC-4 in summer), or checking what local time an event scheduled "at 2:00 PM London time" will take place elsewhere in the world.
Does the tool handle daylight saving time (DST) changes automatically?
No. This tool applies a simple numeric offset in hours between the two timezones you choose — it does not know the daylight saving time (DST) rules specific to each country, nor the exact dates on which they apply. You must therefore choose the offset that matches the season of the date you're converting yourself (for example UTC+1 in winter and UTC+2 in summer for Paris). For a conversion guaranteed to be exact on any date of the year, a real timezone database (IANA tz) would be needed; that's not the goal of this tool, which is designed for a quick and simple conversion.
What does the UTC+X format mean?
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the global time reference. A "UTC+2" timezone means that the local time in that timezone is 2 hours ahead of UTC; "UTC-5" means it is 5 hours behind. This is the simplest and most universal way to express a time offset without ambiguity over a city or country name.
100% local processing: the conversion happens directly in your browser via WebAssembly, with no calls to an external server.
