How it works
Working out a tip in your head at the end of a meal is never convenient, especially after a long dinner with drinks. This tool applies the percentage of your choice to the bill amount and, if there are several of you, automatically splits the total (bill + tip) among everyone at the table.
What tip percentage is customary?
In France, tipping is not mandatory (service is generally included in the listed price), but leaving 5 to 10% for good service is common. In other countries (United States, Canada...), customs are different and the expected tip can go up to 15-20%, or even more depending on the context.
Does the per-person calculation split the tip evenly even if the dishes differ?
Yes, this tool applies a strictly equal split among the number of people entered. If your dishes have very different prices and you want a split proportional to what each person consumed, use a detailed per-person bill splitting tool instead.
