How it works

On a group trip, expenses are rarely paid in equal shares: one person books the plane tickets, another pays for lodging, a third covers the restaurants. This tool starts from what each traveler actually spent, calculates everyone's theoretical share (the total divided by the number of travelers) and suggests the list of reimbursements so that everyone ends up having paid the same share.

Is the category breakdown used to calculate the split?

The category table (transport, lodging, food…) is mainly informational: it helps you see where the trip's money goes. The split among travelers is based on the amounts each person actually paid, entered in the second section, not on the category breakdown.

How do I estimate the cost per day per person?

If you enter the trip length in days, the tool divides each traveler's average share by that number of days, giving an estimate of the daily cost per person — useful for comparing this trip with your usual budget or with another getaway.

The amounts and names you enter stay strictly on your device, and no data is sent to a server.
