How it works
A good treasure hunt chains together clues that each lead to the next, up to the final reward. List your locations (a room, a corner of the garden) and your reference objects (a piece of furniture, a plant, a toy): the tool randomly pairs them with a variety of clue phrasings to create a surprise trail each time you generate.
What happens if I have more locations than objects (or the other way around)?
The tool uses the smaller of the two counts to generate as many clues as there are possible pairs, so that each clue pairs a distinct location with a distinct object. Add more lines to the shorter list to get more clues.
Can I control the exact order of the trail?
The order of the clues shown is the order to follow during the game, but it is generated randomly each time you click "Generate": run it again as many times as needed until you get a sequence of locations that works physically (for example, to avoid going back and forth).
Your locations and objects stay only in your browser: nothing is saved or sent to a server.
