How it works
Without Twitter Card tags, a link shared on X only shows a generic preview, with no image or controlled description. Fill in the fields to generate the meta tags to paste into the <head> of your page, for a polished share preview that's consistent with your brand.
What's the difference between summary and summary_large_image?
summary shows a small square thumbnail next to the text, suited to a standard blog post. summary_large_image shows a large full-width image above the text, which is more visual and generally preferred for content with a striking cover image.
Do these tags also work for Facebook or LinkedIn?
No, twitter:* tags are only read by X (Twitter). Facebook and LinkedIn rely on Open Graph tags (og:title, og:image...), which you need to add separately if you're also targeting those platforms.
