Typing speed test
Copy the reference text shown below as fast and as accurately as you can: your speed in words per minute (WPM) and your accuracy are calculated live as you type.

How it works
The timer starts at your first keystroke and stops automatically once you've typed as many characters as the reference text. Correct characters appear in green and mistakes in underlined red as you type, so you can spot your typos right away.
How is WPM (words per minute) calculated?
The standard calculation treats a "word" as 5 typed characters (spaces included), following the convention used by most typing speed tests. The number of characters typed is divided by 5, then scaled to one minute based on the elapsed time.
How is accuracy measured?
Accuracy compares your input to the reference text character by character at the same position and calculates the percentage of identical characters. An uncorrected typo therefore lowers your accuracy until the end of the test.
Your input stays entirely local: no typed text is sent to a server during the test.
