Upside-down text generator
Flip your text 180 degrees by replacing each letter with its inverted Unicode equivalent and reversing the order of the characters, for a fun effect in your messages. Everything happens in your browser, with no server.
How it works
A classic way to surprise a friend in a chat, create an original username, or just have fun with typography. Type some text and it's automatically flipped letter by letter, with its order reversed to simulate reading "upside down".
How is the text actually flipped?
Each letter is replaced with an existing Unicode character that visually looks like that same letter rotated 180 degrees (for example "e" becomes "ǝ"), then the order of all the characters is reversed so the text reads correctly from right to left, as if it had been physically turned upside down.
Does every character have a flipped equivalent?
No: some letters and symbols have no satisfactory flipped visual equivalent in Unicode. In that case, the tool keeps the original character at its reversed position in the text rather than removing it, so no information is lost.
None of the text you type is sent to a server; the transformation is purely local.
