URL parser

Break down a full URL into its components: scheme, host, port, query string, and fragment.

Example:

How it works

Handy for understanding the exact structure of a complex URL, debugging a malformed link, or quickly extracting a query parameter without writing any code. The URL is split by looking for successive separators (://, : for the port, / for the path, ? for the query, and # for the fragment).

What happens if the URL has no scheme?

The tool requires the presence of :// to identify the scheme (like https or ftp). A URL without this separator, like example.com/page, generates an error — add the scheme (e.g. https://example.com/page) before parsing it.

Is the port required in a URL?

No, the port is optional. If it isn't explicitly specified (like :8080), the "Port" field stays empty and the scheme's default port (80 for HTTP, 443 for HTTPS) is implicit.

100% local processing: the analysis runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly, your URL never leaves your device.
