Remove audio from a video
Import a video to get a copy without an audio track. 100% local processing in your browser — nothing is sent to a server. The resulting file is exported in WebM (.webm) format, regardless of the original format (max 300 MB).
How it works
This tool plays your video locally in the browser and re-records it live via the MediaRecorder API, capturing only the video track — the audio track is deliberately excluded from the recorded stream. Since this is a real-time recording, the operation takes roughly as long as the video's own duration.
No instant conversion is possible with this approach: the browser has to "play" the video from start to finish to capture each frame. A progress bar shows how far along the processing is.
Browser compatibility
This feature relies on captureStream(), available in recent Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Support in Safari may be limited or absent depending on the version. If your browser isn't compatible, an error message appears and invites you to try another browser.
What is it used for?
Useful for removing background music or ambient noise before reusing a clip, or for preparing a silent video intended for use as a wallpaper or looped on a website.
100% local processing: the video is played and re-recorded entirely in your browser — it never leaves your device and is never sent to a server.
