Convert a video into an animated GIF
Import a video, choose the clip to convert (start, end, frames per second and maximum width) then generate an animated GIF from that passage. 100% local processing in your browser (WebAssembly).
Drag and drop a video here, or click to select it (max 300 MB).
How it works
Want to extract a short passage from a video (a memorable moment, a reaction, a demo) to share as an animated GIF, without installing editing software? Import your video, indicate the start and end of the clip to convert, then generate the GIF directly in your browser.
Frames are first extracted from the video using the browser's native decoding: the video is positioned successively at each chosen moment and each frame is captured via a canvas. These frames are then assembled locally into an animated GIF using a WebAssembly module, without ever passing through a server.
How do I keep a GIF small?
GIFs grow very quickly, since each frame is stored without advanced compression. Keep the clip short, reduce the number of frames per second and limit the maximum width (the fps and width settings above) to get a reasonably sized file, especially if you plan to share it via message or embed it in a web page.
100% local processing: extracting the frames and generating the GIF happen entirely in your browser — your video never leaves your device.
