Trim a video (start / end)
Cut the start and end of a video using two sliders synchronized with the player preview. Trimming is fast because it avoids a full re-encode, all right in your browser.
How it works
The start and end sliders are linked to the video player: moving a slider seeks playback to the matching moment so you can see exactly where the cut falls before starting the export.
Why isn't the cut always accurate to the exact millisecond?
To stay fast, the tool copies the audio/video streams directly without re-encoding them (the -c copy option). This means the cut has to start on a keyframe close to the requested time, which can shift the start point by a few hundred milliseconds depending on the source video.
How do I get a perfectly precise cut?
If the slight offset is a problem, re-encode the result afterwards with another tool, or place the cut point near a shot change in the video: keyframes are often placed at scene changes, which limits the gap you'll see.
100% local processing: trimming runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly, and no video data is sent to a server.
