Take a photo with your webcam
Start your webcam, frame yourself, then capture a still from the video stream in one click and download it right away as a PNG, with no app to install and no image sent anywhere.
How it works
Once you allow camera access, the image shown on screen comes straight from your webcam's video stream. When you click "Take photo", a single frame from that stream is drawn onto a hidden canvas and converted into a downloadable PNG file, without ever passing through a server.
Can I take several photos in a row?
Yes, click "Take photo" as many times as you need: each new capture replaces the previous preview and offers a new download link, as long as the webcam stays on.
On mobile, can I use the rear camera?
Yes, the "Switch camera" button toggles between the front (selfie) and rear cameras on devices that have both; on a computer with several webcams plugged in, use the camera selection drop-down that appears automatically instead.
Privacy: your webcam's video stream stays entirely on your device and is never sent to a server; only the photo you explicitly choose to capture is generated, and only in your browser. The camera is turned off as soon as you click "Stop" or leave the page.
