Test your webcam online
Check in one click that your webcam works properly: live video preview, detected resolution, measured frames per second, and camera switching if your device has several.
How it works
As soon as you allow access, your browser opens a live video stream shown above. The tool reads the actual resolution negotiated with your camera and measures the number of frames displayed per second using an animation frame counter, without ever recording or transmitting the video.
My webcam doesn't show up or access is denied. What should I do?
First check that your browser has permission to access the camera in the site settings (often a camera icon in the address bar), that no other application (video call, another tab) is already using the webcam, and that the camera driver is properly installed on your system.
Why is the displayed resolution different from the one the manufacturer advertises?
The browser automatically negotiates a resolution compatible with your hardware, the ambient light and the driver's capabilities, so it can differ slightly from the maximum resolution the manufacturer advertises, especially if several applications share the same camera.
Privacy: your webcam's video stream stays entirely on your device. It is neither recorded nor sent to a server. The camera is turned off immediately when you click "Stop" or leave the page.
