How it works

Writing a wedding speech in front of a full room can be intimidating, especially when you don't know where to start. This tool breaks the speech into six classic sections (opening hook, your connection to the couple, an anecdote, what makes the couple special, wishes for the future, final toast) and offers different prompt questions depending on whether you are a witness, a parent or a friend, to help you find your own words.

Can I edit the suggested sections?

Yes, each section has an editable text area: use the prompt questions as inspiration, then write your own text right in it. Nothing is pre-filled for you; the tool simply guides you through the structure.

How long should a wedding speech be?

In general, a good speech lasts between three and five minutes, or about 400 to 600 words. Once your outline is filled in, you can copy it all and adjust it to fit that length, taking care not to overload one section at the expense of the others.

What if I don't have a standout anecdote?

If no spectacular anecdote comes to mind, go for a simple but sincere memory: a small gesture, a habit, a phrase the couple often repeats. Authenticity matters far more than originality when it comes to touching the audience.

The outline and the text you write stay on your device only: nothing is sent or saved to a remote server.
