How it works
Used in language classes, after-school activities or party games, the word-scramble concept consists of guessing a word whose letters have been reordered at random. Enter your own list of words (any theme: vocabulary, first names, cities…), the tool scrambles each word and you can check each answer or reveal it.
Can the scramble accidentally produce the original word again?
No: the algorithm re-shuffles as long as the result is identical to the original word (except for single-letter words, where this is unavoidable). You are therefore guaranteed that every puzzle offered is actually scrambled.
Can I reuse the same list with a different scramble?
Yes, the "Re-scramble" button generates a new random order for each word in the current list, without having to retype the words — handy for offering several rounds with the same vocabulary.
The words you enter stay in your browser: nothing is sent or saved on a server.
